19 locally-transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 3 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 24 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Wednesday (June 16).

This brings the total number of cases to 62,339.

There are 19 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection.

16 are linked to previous cases, of whom 10 were already placed on quarantine. Six were detected through surveillance.

The remaining three cases are currently unlinked.

MOH said that there are no new cases in the dormitories.

In addition, there are five imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore. Of these, two are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
