Sometimes, a little appreciation can go a long way, especially when shown to people with difficult and tedious jobs.
A group of kind residents in Choa Chu Kang arranged to show their appreciation to bus drivers in their neighbourhood by surprising them with food.
Nasi briyani for bus captains at Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange
On Tuesday (Jun. 29), SMRT shared about the kind act on Facebook.
According to SMRT, a group of residents from Northvale Condominium, which neighbours the Choa Chu Kang interchange, had surprised the bus captains at the interchange with 100 packets of nasi briyani.
The condo residents had hoped to "show their appreciation towards [the bus captains] as they carried on with their essential transport duties during Singapore's Phase 2 Heightened Alert", the post said.
One of the recipients, a bus captain named Tay Chiang Hin, said that he felt happy that the residents had gone to such lengths to show their appreciation for him and the rest of the team.
