S'pore man, 60, arrested for attempted murder after another man found with stab wounds at Choa Chu Kang carpark

He will be charged in court on June 14.

On June 12, 2021 at about 9:35pm, the police responded to a case of assault with a knife at a carpark along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3.

Man found with stab wounds

Police officers found a 52-year-old man with stab wounds at the scene.

The man was then conveyed, conscious, to the hospital.

According to a news release on June 13, preliminary investigations revealed that another man, 60, had allegedly attacked the 52-year-old.

Police said the victim was allegedly known to the suspect.

The 60-year-old man fled the scene before the police's arrival, but was subsequently arrested within two hours of the reported crime.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Arrested for attempted murder

The 60-year-old will be charged in court on June 14, 2021 with attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code.

If found guilty of the offence of attempted murder, he will be liable for life imprisonment, imprisonment of up to 20 years and a fine, or both.
