239 staff and tenants who have been working at 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre from May 25 have been placed on quarantine since June 12.

144 owners, tenants and staff of shops and commercial units at 116 Bukit Merah View were tested, and all were found to be negative for Covid-19 infection.

Bukit Merah View cluster

According to the Covid-19 update by MOH on June 16, there are 13 more cases linked to the Bukit Merah view cluster.

While the premises have already been closed to the public from June 13 to June 15 to facilitate a deep cleaning of the premises, the detection of additional cases among the market and food centre staff and their close contacts suggest that there is an ongoing spread with wider transmission.

As a result, the closure of 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre will now be extended to June 26.
