Singapore General Hospital (SGH) has provided an update after one of its community nurses tested positive for Covid-19.

According to its Facebook post on May 23, the nurse was not involved in caring for Covid-19 patients in the course of her work.

She also complied fully with the PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements at work.

"She was responsible in seeking medical attention promptly when unwell, and had also received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine," the hospital added.

SGH revealed that the nurse was last at work on May 10, and visited the staff clinic on May 11 when she was unwell. However, she tested negative at that point.

The nurse then went on medical leave from May 11, and was subsequently placed on Quarantine Order when her family members tested positive for Covid-19.

She was confirmed with the virus on May 21.
