Editor's note: This article has been updated after MOH revised the dates for JEM and Westgate mall visitors to May 10-14.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) strongly encourages those who visited JEM or Westgate shopping malls between May 10 and 14 to take the free Covid-19 swab test.

This is to "pre-emptively mitigate any potential risk of wider, undetected community transmission", MOH said.

Those who have checked into these two malls via SafeEntry on these few days will receive a SMS informing them about the free testing.

From May 19 to June 1, those who wish to take the swab test can book an appointment at the following Regional Screening Centres (RSCs):

  • Jurong Club House, 11 Jurong Town Hall Road, S(609432),
  • Former Shuqun Secondary School, 450 Jurong East Street 21, S(609604),
  • Former Da Qiao Primary School, 8 Ang Mo Kio Street 54, S(569185),
  • Former Coral Primary School, 20 Pasir Ris Street 51, S(518902),
  • Former Bishan Park Secondary School, 2 Sin Ming Walk S(575565)

Only asymptomatic individuals will be accepted at the RSCs and other testing venues.

For individuals who are feeling ill (e.g. have a cough, fever, runny nose or loss of smell), they are required to see their doctor or visit a “Swab and Send Home” Public Health Preparedness Clinic (SASH PHPC).

Those who wish to take a swab test can also call 6333 3636 to book an appointment at Fullerton Health Testing Centre.

They can also walk in to Raffles Hospital or Raffles Medical at Shaw Centre Orchard.

Do note that swabbing for children is only available at selected SASH PHPCs.

Staff at JEM or Westgate will have their testing arrangement made by their employers.
