The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 28 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on May. 17.
This brings the total number of cases to 61,613 .
There are 21 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom 10 are linked to previous cases. 11 are unlinked.
Amongst them, six had already been placed on quarantine earlier.
Based on MOH's investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.
Seven of the cases announced today are imported, and all were placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
Of these, two are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Further updates will be shared by MOH this evening.
