Local artiste Marcus Chin said his 11-year-old daughter has inherited a gift for singing, and wouldn't mind letting her enter show business if she wants to, he said in a May 12 interview with Shin Min Daily News (SMDN).
The 67-year-old host and singer added that because his daughter, Elise, is very shy, and "never dares" to perform in front of him, he has only seen her singing and dancing in the clips that her mother sent over.
Chin had Elise with his former girlfriend and former personal assistant Eileen Cheah, a Malaysian who now lives in Johor Bahru.
He said he hasn't seen his daughter for more than a year since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak, lamenting that they can only video call each other at the moment.
Chin, who was then married to Taiwanese singer Murong Ying, made headlines when his affair with Cheah, who is 32 years younger than him -- she was 24 years old at that time -- got exposed in 2009.
One year after Elise was born, Chin and Cheah broke up.
