Karaoke Manekineko closes down all its outlets in S'pore

Karaoke chain Manekineko has announced the closure of all its outlets in Singapore.

As of May 5

In a May 19 Facebook post, Manekineko said that its Singapore outlets were shut down as of May 5.

Manekineko had eight outlets in Singapore:

  • Orchard Cineleisure
  • SCAPE
  • Bugis+
  • Marina Square
  • Lucky Chinatown
  • SAFRA Punggol
  • SAFRA Jurong
  • Tampines 1

In its Facebook post, Manekineko also thanked its customers for their support.

"Karaoke Manekineko would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and thanks to all customers who give supports to us. It's not goodbye, it's until we meet again"

The reason behind the closure, however, was not revealed.

Colourful and vibrant rooms

Manekineko is one of Japan’s largest karaoke chains. It has over 500 outlets nationwide.

It is known for its colourful and vibrant karaoke rooms, which features the iconic cat logo.

Customers would also receive a free flow of drinks and snacks at the self-service bar.
