Bubble tea chains such as Koi and LiHO have announced that some of their outlets will be closed during this period.

Koi Thé has around 40 outlets all over Singapore, excluding Koi The Express outlets.

In a Facebook post, Koi Thé announced that their branches at Lucky Plaza, The Arcade, and Tanjong Pagar Plaza will be closed "until further notice".

The announcement came on May 15, a day before Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) kicked in.

LiHO also posted a similar announcement on their Facebook page on May 17.

They said that eight of their outlets will temporarily cease operations until June 13. These outlets include Capitol Piazza, JCube and Changi Airport Terminal 3.

They also indicated the nearest outlets to the affected ones:

Bubble tea stores still open

All F&B and retail outlets in Singapore are still allowed to operate under Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).

From Apr. 22 to June 18 in 2020, however, bubble tea stores had to close following an announcement that "non-essential" F&B businesses would not be allowed to operate.

A number of food manufacturers and food outlets, mostly snack and dessert-based, were affected.
