Filmgarde Cineplexes will be temporarily pausing its operation for all its cinemas from Tuesday, May 18.
The company announced on May 17 this measure in light of the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures, after Singapore reported a surge in Covid-19 cases in the community recently.
According to its social media posts, Filmgarde said it is taking this pre-emptive decision in the interest of the health and safety of patrons and staff.
Those who are affected by the temporary closure can write in to them at [email protected] to request for a refund.
The three Filmgarde cinemas are located at Bugis+, Tampines Century Square and Kallang Leisure Park.
On May 17, the Ministry of Health reported 21 community cases, of which, 11 are unlinked cases.
