Drivers and delivery personnel who are afraid of cockroaches might have started their day off at Eastpoint Mall with an awful surprise over the weekend.
A visitor to Eastpoint Mall observed a number of cockroaches at the carpark and loading bay of the mall on May 30 morning.
He then posted his observation on Facebook page Complaint Singapore:
Here's a close-up look at a few clusters of cockroaches on the wall at the carpark:
Several commenters expressed their concern at the sight as well as disgust at the critters, which are branded enemy number one by many.
Area treated and cleaned
In response to Mothership's query, a spokesperson for Eastpoint Mall said that they have received the relevant feedback on Sunday itself, and pest control was activated on the same day.
The area was treated and cleaned, and another round of pest control will be conducted to extended areas of the carpark to ensure hygiene and cleanliness, the statement said.
Pest control treatment and cleaning will be done regularly.
"We regret any inconvenience caused and will implement further measures as necessary,” the spokesperson added.
