28 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore on May 9, 10 are locally-transmitted

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 28 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Sunday (May 9).

This brings the total number of cases to 61,359.

There are 10 new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom five are linked to previous cases. These five had already been placed on quarantine or were detected from MOH's proactive testing.

MOH said that the locally-transmitted cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.

In addition, there are 18 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Amongst them, 11 are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
