5 new locally-transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore on May 4, 2021

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 17 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Tuesday (May 4).

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 61,252.

Based on MOH's investigations so far, five cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.

There are 12 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Five community cases

All the new community cases reported today were detected from MOH's testing of patients, visitors and staff at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) or their close contacts, and had already been placed on quarantine.

On May 4, it was announced that Tan Tock Seng Hospital would be ceasing admissions to contain the Covid-19 cluster.
