1 dormitory case among 22 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore on May 23, 2021

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 25 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore as of 12pm on May 23, 2021.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 61,824.

There are 22 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, 21 of whom are in the community.

There is one new case from a dormitory.

Among the locally transmitted cases, 19 are linked to previous cases. The remaining three cases are unlinked.

12 of the linked cases had already been placed on quarantine earlier.

There are also three imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Of these, two are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
