The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 28 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore on Monday (May. 17).
There are 21 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom 10 are linked to previous cases, with the rest unlinked.
New locations added on May 17
MOH regularly updates a list of public places visited by confirmed Covid-19 cases for more than 30 minutes when they were infectious.
About 50 new locations were added on May 17, as seen in the highlighted text on the following list, which shows the locations visited by cases in the community during their infectious period in the past 14 days.
Some locations included Meidi-Ya Supermarket at Millenia Walk and Suntec City on May 13, and ION Orchard on May 10.
213 remain in hospitals
19 more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 61,123 have fully recovered from the infection.
There are currently 213 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital, most of whom are stable or improving.
Three are in the intensive care unit (ICU).
246 cases who have mild symptoms or who are clinically well, but still test positive for Covid-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
31 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
