22 Covid-19 community cases in S’pore on May 22, 8 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 29 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on May 22, 2021, as of 12pm.

This brings the total number of cases to 61,799.

There are 22 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom 14 are linked to previous cases.

The remaining eight cases are unlinked.

Among the locally transmitted cases, 12 had already been placed on quarantine earlier.

MOH said that there are no new cases in the dormitories.

In addition, there are seven imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

Of these, three are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
