A chicken rice stall at Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre is giving away free meals to delivery riders.
The stall, Clementi Hong Kee Villa, is once again carrying out this initiative this year to show appreciation for those hitting the road running for a living.
In 2020, during the Circuit Breaker period, the stall also gave out free food and drinks.
Even though the stall sells chicken rice and other roasted meats, it is giving out halal nasi lemak, as well as a bottles of chilled water.
According to Lianhe Wanbao, the stall gives out some 40 packets of food and drinks each day.
The Chinese paper said the stall is giving out food so that those doing deliveries won't go hungry on the road.
