The students involved in an alleged hazing session, which involved students urinating on two of their peers, have been identified by Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP).

The incident was made known after a video online gained traction, which showed two young men naked in a toilet shower cubicle urinated on by other male students.

An internal inquiry will be conducted

According to a media statement seen by Mothership, the incident did not take place during an official freshman orientation programme, or as preparations for an orientation programme.

NP did not reveal when the incident happen, except hinting that it was recent.

NP said that they will be conducting an internal disciplinary inquiry, and will take appropriate disciplinary action on students found in breach of the school's Student Code of Conduct.

They have also reached out to the students involved, none of which were freshmen, to extend counselling support.

In addition, as the video revealed that safe management measures were not adhered to within the NP campus, the school said that they will "consider this in meting the necessary disciplinary action".

"We take a serious view of this matter and do not condone any form of misconduct," said the statement.
