No new locations visited by infectious Covid-19 cases reported on Mar. 7, 2021

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 13 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore, as of 12pm on Sunday (Mar. 7).

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 60,033.

There were no new locally-transmitted cases in the community; all 13 cases were imported.

13 imported cases

The 13 imported cases announced were placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore.

Amongst the 13 imported cases:

  • One (Case 60710) is a Student's Pass holder who arrived from Sri Lanka.
  • 10 are Work Permit holders who arrived from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines, of whom seven (Cases 60697, 60704, 60712, 60718, 60719, 60720 and 60722) are foreign domestic workers.
  • Two (Cases 60709 and 60711) are Short-Term Visit Pass holders. Case 60709 arrived from Bangladesh with his parent who works in Singapore, and Case 60711 arrived from Sri Lanka to visit her child who is studying here.

They had all already been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.

15 cases discharged

15 more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

In all, 59,894 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 24 confirmed cases who are still in hospital.

Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. 86 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.

29 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.

No new locations

MOH regularly updates a list of public places visited by confirmed Covid-19 cases for more than 30 minutes when they were infectious.

No new locations were added to the list on Mar. 7.
