Earlier this year in March, Tip Top, a local snack chain added a new Impossible Rendang Puff to their menu.
The Impossible Rendang Puff is made with Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat, cooked with lemongrass, blue ginger and sambal chilli with ikan bilis (dried anchovies) and is priced at S$2.20.
Since launching an Impossible Rendang Puff option earlier this year, fans of the chain can now look forward to another option: the Cheesy Impossible Puff.
Halal-certified Cheesy Impossible Puff
From now until Dec. 31, Tip Top will be offering the halal-certified Cheesy Impossible Puff at S$3 per piece.
For a limited time period, customers can enjoy two Cheesy Impossible Puffs for only S$5.
The puff consists of Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat, onions, carrots, melted mozzarella cheese, and other spices.
In response to a media query, the company said that the puffs contain eggs and dairy, but do not contain any meat made from animals, making it suitable for vegetarians who consume egg and dairy.
According to Impossible Foods', a 113g serving size of Impossible Foods’ meat, made from plants, uses 96 per cent less land, 87 per cent less water and 89 per cent less greenhouse gases compared to ground beef from a cow.
This is equivalent to saving 7 square meters of land, 3kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for each serving consumed.
Available at Tip Top outlets & on food delivery platforms
The puffs will be available at all Tip Top outlets, excluding Changi Airport.
It is also available on delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, GrabFood and Foodpanda.
