An Audi was caught on dashcam video overtaking a vehicle by filtering out and cutting into the opposite lane, and driving against the flow of traffic.

The incident occurred on Oct. 4, 2020, just before noon.

Footage of the incident was then shared on Facebook as it showed the Audi narrowly missing a motorcyclist coming in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, who had the right of way, was forced to take evasive action as the Audi did not slow down or stop and proceeded ahead after overtaking.

The motorcyclist had to drive into traffic coming its way in the opposite lane.

The Audi had signalled beforehand when it was about to overtake, but as it was travelling around a bend at that time, it might not have seen the motorcyclist coming in the opposite direction.

According to the Facebook post, crossing double white lines or a road divider carries a S$150 fine and four demerit points.
