Singapore-based actress Jin Yinji's husband has been diagnosed with lymphoma, Shinmin Daily News reported.

Jin is 74 this year, while her husband, Anthony Lee, is 81.

According to HealthHub, lymphoma is the third most common cancer among young adults and children in Singapore.

Lmphomas begin when a certain type of white blood cells fail to fight infection. These cells can be found in the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, and bone marrow.

These abnormal white blood cells can collect in the lymph nodes and grow into tumours.

A tumour was originally detected at Lee's neck, and subsequent examination revealed it to be cancerous.

At the recommendation of his doctors, Lee underwent surgery to remove the tumour and recovered nicely from it.

However, just last week, Lee discovered three more tumours, one of which was located near his heart.

A troubled Jin told the Chinese daily,

"I'm afraid, and he's already 81, it's dangerous for him to undergo another surgery, especially for the tumour near his heart. His weight has been dropping, and he can barely taste what he's eating."

When asked if Lee has been resting at home, Jin replied, "No, he's still going to the factory to work!"

She added, "I feel that my husband is already very lucky to be able to work at 81. When I saw the news about Alien Huang, I cried even though I didn't know him, he was still so young."

Besides caring for her husband, Jin has also been filming for an upcoming drama series, and managing the kimchi business she started with her daughter-in-law.
