A Wednesday night (Oct. 7) debate saw United States Vice President Mike Pence go up against Senator Kamala Harris.
Yet, it was an uninvited guest that stole the show.
Buzzing around the stage, a fly broke from its daily activity and perched itself on the right side of Pence's head, seemingly unbothered by the 61-year-old's movements.
The black fly was hard to miss as it relaxed against a backdrop of the vice president's white hair, and social media certainly took notice.https://twitter.com/Tee2Much/status/1314049329758433281

Of course Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden — who is running against Donald Trump with Harris as his vice-presidential pick — couldn't resist wading in.
His campaign tweeted the following message:
Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly. https://t.co/CqHAId0j8t pic.twitter.com/NbkPl0a8HV

Several Twitter accounts claiming to be the fly in question have already sprung up, including one that has already amassed over 63,000 followers.
A news reporter from California recorded the fly's official time-on-head as being two minutes and three seconds.
The fly was there for 2 minutes, 3 seconds. I went back and counted. #VPDebate
