7-Eleven Malaysia took to Facebook on Oct. 1, 2020 to announce that it has launched a new Ghost Pepper flavoured cola drink.
The Ghost Pepper flavoured cola drink will be sold as part of a combo pack with the Ghost Pepper Spicy Chicken Noodle for RM8.90 (S$2.90) to celebrate Halloween.
Here is what the Limited Halloween Edition Ghost Pepper Combo Pack looks like:
The Ghost Pepper Spicy Chicken Noodle is apparently the spiciest instant noodle in Malaysia.
Hence, it is no surprise that many found the Ghost Pepper Cola to be spicy too.
One person who tried the drink described it to be a "cursed version of Pepsi":
So, my college friend bought a ghost pepper noodles and cola combo...— Narukiko 🍀 (@narukikoawaa) October 6, 2020
I tried a ghost pepper cola drink a tiny bit and oh my god, this is like the more cursed version of Pepsi as I can feel the spice kicking in.
HOLY SHIT. pic.twitter.com/dBYWacyHTu
Another person coughed violently and seemed to almost vomit after tasting the drink.
He added that the Ghost Pepper Cola tastes like Coca Cola, however, it is spicy when it reaches the throat.
A YouTuber, Asyraff Mazlan, who tried the Ghost Pepper Cola, retches, coughs and starts sweating.
He describes the drink to be gassy and spicy.
After finishing the Ghost Pepper instant noodles and some of the drink, his lips are visibly swollen.
