Drivers with poor parking etiquette have garnered quite a fair bit of attention recently.

Another recent case involves a black Honda car found occupying the slot reserved for BlueSG electric cars at Block 118 Hougang Avenue 1.

The parking lots for BlueSG cars also serve as a charging point, such as the slot taken up by the black car:

The photos were submitted to SG Road Vigilante Facebook page and one netizen managed to dig up an alarming list of outstanding fines accumulated by the car since 2018:

HDB: Stricter penalties will be imposed if he does not settle his fines

In response to Mothership queries, the Housing Development Board (HDB) said that they received feedback about the illegally parked vehicle on Aug. 19.

A parking offence notice has been issued to the car owner and HDB has warned him that stricter penalties, including court action, will be imposed if he continues to flout parking rules and does not settle his earlier parking fines.

According to HDB, motorists who park illegally at reserved lots face a fine of S$35, S$70, and S$100 for motorcycles, cars, and heavy vehicles respectively.

Recalcitrant motorists may have their vehicles wheel-clamped or towed away.

A maximum composition fine of S$400, and/or court action, will also be imposed.

"We urge all motorists to be considerate and abide by the parking rules, so as not to cause inconvenience to others," HDB added.

Members of the public who come across misuse of parking lots at HDB car parks can call the parking enforcement hotline at 1800-338-6622.
