Nearly 300,000 National Day Parade (NDP) packs were handed out on day one of the collection dates.

Some of the packs featured a Yeo's Special Edition 2020 Chrysanthemum Tea Can.

Yeo's asked the “pack-getters” to keep the can and follow their Instagram page before the National Day reveal.

Surprise reveal

Yeo’s then posted on their Facebook page on August. 9, revealing three surprises that they had planned.

The first surprise is that users can activate a special AR filter icon when scanning the can via Facebook stories.

Users can use the filter or special stickers and GIFs by Yeo's.

The second surprise is that Yeo's will be donating S$10,000 to five beneficiaries.

They hope to reach 10,000 entries.

Staycation contest

The third - and probably the most relevant surprise for Singaporeans holding onto the can - is that a contest is being held.

Five winners will get a one-night staycation at the Fullerton Hotel Suite which includes a connecting room, worth a total of S$5,500.

Included in the staycation is:

  • Chandon breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails
  • A private hotel monument tour
  • A special sumptuous in-suite dinner with a complimentary bottle of champagne

Each winner is allowed to bring four designated guests.

55 winners will also walk away with Yeo's Goodness Packs, worth up to S$88 each.

To join the contest, one just needs to post an entry on your Facebook or Instagram, featuring Yeo's special edition can.

Both posts and stories on Facebook and Instagram are eligible, and it is not compulsory to use Yeo’s AR filter or stickers.

One does not need to have the physical can, so long as the post features the special edition can in some way.

More entries will increase the chances of winning.

The contest will close on Aug 23, 2020, 11:59 pm.

Winners will be announced on Aug. 25 and Aug 26.
