Samsung launches Note 20 series, Ultra 5G will cost you S$1,898

Samsung will be launching the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in Singapore.

The new devices will go on sale on Aug. 21.

In Singapore, the Note 20 Ultra and Note 20 will come with 256GB internal storage, with the Ultra only available in its 5G variant, while the Note 20 is available in both 5G and 4G variants.

All phones are able to be fitted with expandable memory cards as well.

Improved stylus

Some new features include a more sensitive S pen stylus, which has an improved latency (lag time) of 9 milliseconds, to improve the feel of note-taking.

The stylus, which has up to 24 hours of battery standby time, can also be used to control the phone remotely through gestures known as air actions.

The Samsung Notes app is now improved with several advanced note-taking features, such as audio bookmarks.

Users can now record notes while the note app records audio during meetings or lectures, and the recording playback will indicate when notes are being written down in real-time.

Users can just tap a word to go to that moment in the recording.

An auto-straighten function also allows for notes scribbled sideways can be straightened with a touch.

Professional-level camera

The Note 20 Ultra and Note 20 can also take professional-quality photos and videos, as the devices allow for one to shoot 8K video and in 21:9 aspect ratio with 24fps.

With the phones carrying three rear cameras each; the Note 20 Ultra has a 108MP wide-angle camera, and Note 20 has a 64MP Telephoto camera.

The audio settings can be adjusted in such a way that the user can select the source of sound where they want the device to record the audio from, be it the front, rear, or even from a pair of compatible Bluetooth or USB-C headphones.

The Note 20 Ultra will cost S$1,898, while the Note 20 5G and Note 20 4G will retail at S$1,548 and S$1,398 respectively.
