A nice reprieve from the offensively warm weather overnight.

Rain fell all over Singapore on Aug. 12 morning at dawn to bring down temperatures island-wide to 25°C to 26°C, with windy conditions greeting morning commuters.

The stark adjustment in temperature brought much needed relief from the sweltering heat and humidity, as temperatures had earlier soared close to 30°C at midnight just hours earlier.

The highest temperature forecast on Aug. 12 will be 31°C.

This also means that the temperature at midnight is officially higher than the temperature at noon.

Unpredictable weather

And it appears the unpredictable weather will persist.

The past few days of zero rain will be replaced with thundery showers over the next four days until Sunday, Aug. 16.
