The Float@Marina Bay will be renamed NS Square.

After redevelopment, the NS Square will become the central focus downtown, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in his National Day speech.

Photos shared earlier show how the outdoor platform will look, with a huge red "SG" logo.

A new video shared by PM Lee on Aug. 12 reveals more amenities and the interior of NS Square, targeted for completion by end-2025.

There will be a NS-themed gallery as mentioned to commemorate National Service as mentioned by PM Lee.

More than just a space for major events

The old Float@Marina Bay saw crowds only when there are major events happening at the location such as the National Day Parade.

Members of the public might be more inclined to visit NS Square more frequently due to the additional amenities, including a rooftop garden, swimming pool, gym and studio.

Both the gym and swimming pool face the waterfront and that means you can relax with a beautiful view at downtown.

You can also look forward to more sporting events, including F1 Grand Prix and perhaps soccer matches.

There will also be an outdoor dining area with food and beverage options at the waterfront Promenade.
