NDP 2020 mobile columns will travel 200km to cover more heartland areas via 5 routes

The 2020 National Day Parade (NDP) mobile column will travel along five routes across Singapore between 10am to 1pm on Aug. 9.

The mobile column will feature 66 assets from the Singapore Army, Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF).

Western Route: Jurong West, Jurong East, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang

Southern Route: Clementi, Queenstown, Bukit Merah, Tanjong Pagar, Kallang, Bendemeer, Potong Pasir, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Yio Chu Kang

Northern Route: Khatib, Yishun, Admiralty, Marsiling, Woodlands, Sembawang

South-eastern Route: Changi, Simei, Bedok, Kembangan, Paya Lebar, Hougang, Serangoon, Geylang, Marine Parade, Siglap

North-eastern Route: Seletar, Buangkok, Sengkang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Tampines

It will cover a total distance of around 200km, the longest distance the mobile column has travelled into the heartlands in order to allow more Singaporeans to view it.

A tribute to frontline workers

The morning segment of the NDP 2020 will showcase the stories of everyday Singaporeans and recognise individuals who have been battling the Covid-19 pandemic.

The mobile column will also pay tribute to these individuals.

Around 100 frontline and essential workers from the healthcare, social service and other essential industries will be on board the mobile column as they travel across Singapore.

The mobile column will also drive by Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital and Singapore EXPO.

Safety wise, the NDP2020 Executive Committee has implemented safe management measures to ensure the mobile column segment is carried out safely during this pandemic.
