The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 313 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore, as of August 2.
The vast majority are work permit holders residing in migrant worker dormitories.
The total number of cases stand at 52,825.
Of the 313 new cases, there is one case in the community. This person is a Singaporean Permanent Resident.
There are also five new imported cases who have been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arriving in Singapore.
