On August 3, 2020, the Land Transport Authority posted an update on some "errant active mobility users" they had caught over the weekend.

One of them was actually doing something that was technically within the law, at first glance. A Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB) is actually allowed on a shared path in Singapore.

However, the user had fitted his device with a throttle, which was non-compliant.

Also, his vehicle weighed over 95kg. The permissible weight for the device is 20kg.

"This user rode his PAB on a shared path which is allowed, but his device was fitted with a throttle, making it non-compliant. #UpLorry 🚛 His device also weighed 95.15kg, much higher than the permissible weight limit of 20kg for devices on public paths. #WatchYourWeight"

Two users were also caught using their phones while riding, which is not allowed.
