Sporting goods giant Decathlon will be opening a new outlet in Orchard.

The new outlet will open on Sep. 12 at The Centrepoint shopping mall.

According to a Facebook post by Centrepoint, this outlet will take up two levels, each taking up four units.

Renovations are still underway:

Really huge space.

Decathlon will be taking over Metro which used to be the mall's anchor tenant.

The Straits Times reported last year that there were plans to hold regular sports events such as yoga or Zumba classes.

The store will reportedly feature virtual simulations and augmented reality components as well.

This is the first Decathlon outlet in the Orchard Road district and the fifth physical experience outlet in Singapore.

The other physical experience outlets are located at Bedok, City Square, Joo Koon and Stadium.

There are also a few click-and-collect stores islandwide for online shoppers to pick up their purchases.
