A new hotel in Tokyo, called Asakusa Tobu Hotel, has recently revealed a pair of Hello Kitty-themed rooms.

The rooms come in two designs, both of which are filled with varying hues of pink, and feature the popular Sanrio character.

According to Grapee, the Sakura Tennyo room features the beloved Hello Kitty character dressed as a Tennyo, which means "celestial maiden".

The walls and ceiling of this room are peppered with pink cherry blossoms. There is also a tatami area with pink flower-shaped cushions for guests to sit on.

In the Wa-Modern room, the Hello Kitty character is dressed in a pink kimono. Instead of cherry blossoms, floral patterns are found across the walls and ceiling.

The sitting corner features four chairs on a carpeted area instead of a tatami.

According to Grapee, each room is 35.7sqm large, contains four beds, and can accommodate a maximum of four people.

Each room includes a bathtub, a sink and a toilet that are separate from one another, according to the hotel's website.

Room details

There are three Sakura Tennyo and three Wa-Modern rooms, which make up a total of six Hello Kitty-themed rooms available at the hotel.

The Asakusa Tobu Hotel will open on Oct. 8, 2020, but reservations for the Hello Kitty-themed rooms can be made starting 10am on Aug. 24 here.

The prices for the rooms will be revealed at a later date.

But since we are now still living in a Covid-19 world with no tested vaccinations available yet, we will probably have to put off plans to visit the hotel anytime soon.
