The Workers' Party (WP) have revealed which Members of Parliament-elect will be responsible for the specific wards in the new Sengkang GRC.
In a Telegram message on July 19, the WP announced the following:
- Jamus Lim will be responsible for Anchorvale.
- Raeesah Khan will be responsible for Compassvale.
- Louis Chua will be responsible for Rivervale.
- He Ting Ru will be responsible for Buangkok.
The message also included emails and mobile numbers for each of the MPs, for residents to contact them if necessary.
Physical MPS still suspended
WP added that physical Meet-the-People Sessions (MPS) still remain suspended as Singapore is still in Phase 2 of the post-Circuit Breaker period.
On July 19, team leader He Ting Ru stated on Facebook that residents of Sengkang should not be calling Aljunied-Hougang Town Council with their queries.
Instead, Sengkang residents can continue reporting estate matters to their existing Town Councils, while Sengkang's own Town Council is being set up.
He also revealed that she will serve as the new Chair of the Town Council.
During the campaign, the People's Action Party (PAP) team stated in a press conference that it could take about three months or more for the new Town Council to be set up, due to the Covid-19 situation.

The message also included contact information about the Aljunied GRC MPs, and Dennis Tan for Hougang SMC.
