TVB closes headquarters for 2 days after singer tests positive for Covid-19

She is reportedly the first Hong Kong artiste to be diagnosed with Covid-19.

Hong Kong media broadcaster Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) closed its headquarters for two days after an artiste, Zaina Sze, was diagnosed with Covid-19.

Sze was tested positive on July 18.

According to Apple Daily, the 24-year-old star was at the TVB headquarters on July 15 taking part in an acting class, which was comprised mostly of the cast members from the Hong Kong show "Young and Restless".

She was also at the headquarters on July 16 to film a segment for the Hong Kong music show "Jade Solid Gold", where almost 100 other artistes and staff were on set.

Sze's freelance publicist Ah Jia, manager Apple Lau, and boyfriend Robert Mak have been tested positive for the virus as well.

During the incubation period, however, Mak had attended a dinner with numerous other artistes present.

Headquarters will undergo cleaning and disinfection

TVB closed its headquarters on July 19 and July 20 to undergo a large scale disinfection of the building.

All TVB employees will also undergo testing for the virus.
