An aquarium in Tokyo, Japan, Sumida Aquarium, welcomed guests on July 16 at its reopening with a new exhibit featuring hundreds of jellyfish, reported SoraNews.

The exhibit features a seven-meter tank called the Big Petri Dish, which houses around 500 jellyfish. This comes after the aquarium closed for months in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to SoraNews, one of the highlight of the exhibit is the illuminated glass sky deck which visitors can walk over.

Besides the main tank, each side of the tank will feature a total of three drum tanks housing three different species of jellyfish.

Aqua Base

Visitors can also drop by the Aqua Base, a "kitchen" where staff prepare the food that they feed to the creatures that live in the aquarium.

Here, visitors can also learn more about how to care for the creatures and how they are bred in the "lab", reported SoraNews.

In total, there are around 700 jellyfish comprising 14 different species at Sumida Aquarium. Aquarium tickets are to be purchased in advance online or through a tour here.
