Polling Day for GE2020 will be held on July 10, 2020.

The Singapore Police Force has released a security advisory for voters.

Here are some things you need to note on the day:

  1. Take public transport or walk to their polling stations where possible, as parking will not be allowed within the premises of polling stations in schools and community centres.
  2. There will be special drop-off points for vehicles conveying the elderly or persons with physical disabilities. Drivers can approach duty election officials for assistance and directions.
  3. Bags and other belongings brought into the polling stations will be subjected to security checks. The police advises voters not to bring sharp objects, flammable liquids or gas, bulky items, and big bags.
  4. Voters should leave the polling station after casting their votes. Loitering in the vicinity is not advisable as well.
  5. No parking is allowed along the roads near the polling stations. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately or causing obstruction will be towed away.
  6. Safety measures will be in place, including temperature screening of all voters at the start of the queue, wearing of masks by voters, safe distancing at all times, and the enforcement of stringent hygiene practices at polling stations.

The police added that they will monitor the law and order situation closely, and will not hesitate to take action against any person who is unruly, disobeys the direction of election officials or who commits any offence.
