Baby boy found at Tai Keng Gardens in S'pore, police investigations ongoing

The baby is in a stable condition.

On July 27 night, a baby was found at Tai Keng Gardens near Upper Paya Lebar Road.

A number of police vehicles were spotted on July 27 night at around 9:45pm, according to a Mothership reader.

The police were also seen speaking to residents living in the vicinity.

Baby boy found in a box at Tai Keng Gardens

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said that they received a call for assistance at around 7:46pm.

A resident however told Mothership later that the baby was found in the blue recycling bin with the lid closed.

The baby let out a faint whimpering sound before being found in the bin.

He was placed in a shopping paper bag, with a white cloth placed on his face, the resident added.

Paramedics attended to the baby at scene. There were no visible injuries on the baby and his condition was stable.

The baby was subsequently conveyed to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
