The Election Department (ELD) has alerted members of the public of long queues at some polling stations this morning.
As of 11am, ELD updated that the queues have started to come down.
ELD urged voters to keep to their assigned time slots so as to reduce crowding and to ensure safe voting.
There is a nifty website (https://voteq.gowhere.gov.sg/) where you can check the queue situation before heading down to the assigned poll station.
All you have to do is to key in your postal code.
After doing so, you will be directed to a page that shows you the polling station you are assigned to and an estimate of the number of voters there.
Here are some examples:
> 60 voters, crowded
20-40 voters, moderate crowd
< 20 voters, not crowded
