If you like Yakult, then perhaps this confectionery will be right up your alley.

Parañaque-based cake shop Mélange in the Philippines has come up with a Yakult cake and it looks pretty good. Inspired by a Tres Leches cake (milk sponge cake), the Yakult Cake features a Yakult-infused sponge cake base with a layer of cream frosting.

In a short promotional video, Melange.ph demonstrated, very briefly, how the Yakult Cake is made with butter, flour, eggs, and Yakult (of course).

The bakery is retailing the cake at PHP450 (S$12.70) per 12-inch cake. Aside from the delightful Yakult Cake, Mélange also offers Banoffee Pie (banana, cream, and toffee pie) and Tiramisu cake.

Unfortunately, the Yakult Cake is only available for delivery within the Philippines. Hopefully, this trend would come to Singapore soon.
