The first debate of the 2020 General Election (GE) was held yesterday (July 1), which pitted the People's Action Party (PAP) Vivian Balakrishnan, Workers' Party's Jamus Lim, Progress Singapore Party (PSP)'s Francis Yuen and Singapore Democratic Party (SDP)'s Chee Soon Juan.

Titled the “Singapore Votes 2020 – The Political Debate”, the hour-long segment captured numerous netizens' and viewers' attention.

Forum on July 3

On July 3, another forum will be held, this time involving six opposition parties—the SDP, PSP, Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA), People's Power Party (PPP), Reform Party (RP), and Red Dot United (RDU).

This is the list of confirmed speakers:

The forum is organised by the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS), and will be moderated by former-Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Viswa Sadasivan.

NUSS originally invited all political parties contesting in GE2020, and these were the six that responded.

It will be streamed live on NUSS' YouTube channel here:

The Political Debate yesterday revolved around topics like unemployment, helping businesses, and social mobility, and it is likely the forum will touch on similar issues as well.
