Outgoing minister Ng Chee Meng, who led the Sengkang GRC team, has issued a thank you concession post on July 11, 4:20pm.

His post came almost 12 hours after it became clear the Workers' Party team took Sengkang GRC as early sample counts indicated that the opposition were leading with 53 per cent of votes.

Ng kept his concession thank you note short and stuck to his talking points earlier in the morning when he addressed the media at a press conference.

In his post, Ng congratulated the WP team, thanked the residents and supporters, as well as his volunteers and supporters.

Ng wrote that the work in Sengkang is not over as there are still plans for the future.

He wrote: "My team and I will evaluate and regroup to see how we can do better. In the days to come, we will spend some time looking at what may be the plan for the future."

Ng's post came shortly after team mate and first-time candidate Raymond Lye posted on Facebook, thanking his supporters and the residents of Sengkang.

Lye wrote: "I respect the election results and will like to congratulate the Workers Party team on their victory. It was a good fight."

"Big thank you to all my volunteers who have toiled and walked with me all this while. No words can sufficiently express my appreciation and gratitude to them."

The rest of the PAP Sengkang GRC team issued their thank you concession notes earlier:
