Lee Hsien Yang has put up a note post-GE2020 praising the opposition for making inroads into Parliament and denting the PAP's vote share this Covid-19 election.

Lee's post has gone viral on Facebook within two hours of it being put up.

Here are some salient points he made:

• Singaporeans show we can love Singapore and vote for the opposition

• The opposition has gained ground in the east and west of Singapore

• This vote showed the ruling PAP government that Singaporeans are unimpressed with the current leadership

• The PAP sought a strong mandate but got one of its lowest vote shares in decades

• Even a brand new party, the Progress Singapore Party, took some 40 per cent of the popular vote where it contested
