In 2018, West visited the White House to discuss work force training programs, sentencing reforms and African-American employment, according to the New York Times.
He was quoted saying that the putting on the MAGA hat "made [him] feel like Superman".
Serious or not?
According to Reuters, it is not immediately clear if West has filed any paperwork to officially put his name on the ballot.
However, the deadline to file as an independent candidate has not passed yet in many states.
