The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed earlier today, July 27, that there were 469 new cases of Covid-19, taking the total number of cases to 50,838.
There were 15 imported cases and two cases in the community.
Imported cases
The 15 cases are made up of:
- Two Singaporeans.
- Seven Work Pass Holders.
- Four Work Permit Holders.
- Two Dependant's Pass Holders.
These cases came into Singapore from India and the Philippines.
Cases in the community
There was one Singaporean and one Work Pass Holder.
Both were asymptomatic but were detected through proactive screening of people working at dormitories.
This means there were 452 new cases residing in workers' dormitories.
Discharged cases
171 more cases were discharged from hospitals and community isolation facilities.
This brings the total number of recovered cases to 45,692.
179 cases remain in hospital, with 4,940 in community facilities. None are in the intensive care unit.
