JJ Lin has bought two luxury apartments in the Neihu district of Taipei for NT$400 million (S$18.9 million), Apple Daily reports.

The Singaporean singer has also splashed about NT$3.08 million (about S$145,300) on a Volkswagen California Ocean camper van.

The purchases were confirmed by Lin's agent, according to Apple Daily.

In another report, the Taiwanese media said that Lin has plans to combine the two newly bought apartments.

Lin also has another property in the same district, which he brought for NT$100 million (S$4.7 million) in 2014.

He has another house worth NT$63 million (S$3 million) house in the Da’an district.

Enjoys outdoor activities

As for the camper van, Lin's agent told Apple Daily that the singer has always enjoyed outdoor activities.

Lin also has several friends who are fond of camping, and he would go camping with them when he has the time.

The van has already been put to good use, as evidenced by a May vlog entry on Lin's YouTube account:

Going by past incidents, the camper van is only the latest addition to his family of wheels.

Income

Apple Daily pegs Lin's yearly income at about NT$300 million, which is about S$14.15 million.

Having been in the entertainment industry for about 17 years, 39-year-old Lin has grown his assets to about NT$1 billion (S$47 million), the report added.

Lin entered the F&B business in 2018, with the opening of Miracle Coffee in Taipei that year, as well as a second branch in Shanghai in 2019.

Mostly recently, a lifestyle concept store was added to his portfolio. The Taipei store houses both his cafe and fashion label.

While the pandemic has thrown a wrench in Lin's plans, the singer has been taking the time to write new music during this period of frolicking, his agent reveals.

A new album can be expected this year, as well as possible livestream concerts, depending on the situation.
