Impossible Rendang Pie
The Impossible Rendang Pie is made of shortcrust pastry, Impossible meat (which is plant-based meat), rendang gravy, carrots, edamame, potatoes, and a hard-boiled egg.
It is part of Starbucks Singapore’s limited-time Shiok Food Menu, which aims to celebrate the local flavours of Singapore.
General manager of Starbucks Singapore, Patrick Kwok, said that this dish will be the first of a new selection of plant-based food.
The Impossible Rendang Pie will available at all Starbucks stores across Singapore, and through Foodpanda, Deliveroo and GrabFood until August 11, 2020.

What it really looks & tastes like
The pie has meatball-sized Impossible meat, with half a boiled egg, potatoes, carrots and edamame.
In terms of taste, it is similar to a curry puff but with flaky pastry and the Impossible pieces has a similar texture to a conventional meatball.
According to Starbucks, it is suitable for vegetarians who consume egg and dairy.
