How to vote.

Polling day is on Friday (July 10).

Here's a step-by-step guide of how you can vote.

Digital poll card on SingPass Mobile

An ePollCard will also be issued to voters on Singpass Mobile, for those who prefer to use a digital copy, or for those who have lost the hardcopy poll card.

Voters can access the ePoll Card from Nomination Day (June 30) onwards, by clicking "Profile" on the SingPass Mobile app.

There, you will also find your polling station address and allocated voting time-band.

Voting timeslots

Polling stations are open to all voters between 8am to 8pm.

If you are well, you will be allowed to vote anytime from 8am to 8pm, under the Parliamentary Elections Act. However, people are encouraged to vote during their allocated time-band.

Other timeslots to take note of:

  • Senior voters aged 65 and above will be allotted earlier timeslots, from 8am to 12pm. Seniors who are unable to vote during this timeslot can still do so at other times of the day. They will then be able to join priority queues.
  • A special voting hour between 7pm and 8pm is allocated for unwell voters.

You can check the queue status before you go down.

Things to bring/not bring

Bring your poll card (or get ready your digital pollcard via the SingPass app), NRIC, and face mask.

Do not bring:

  • Cameras and video equipment
  • Campaigning materials, including clothes bearing party symbols or slogans
  • Alcoholic drinks
  • Sharp objects
  • Children and pets

Voting procedure

Temperature screening of all voters will be conducted at the start of the queue to detect anyone with fever or respiratory symptoms.

Those who are detected with fever or respiratory symptoms will not be allowed to enter the polling station.

Safe distancing will be enforced at all times for voters waiting to enter the polling stations and within the polling stations.

Registration

You will need to lower your face mask and show your NRIC to the election official to verify your identity before self-scanning your NRIC.

Show your poll card to the official, sanitise your hands and put on disposable gloves, which will be provided, before you receive your ballot paper.

If you wish, you may also bring your own reusable gloves.

Casting your vote

Cast your vote in the standing polling booth by using the self-inking pen to mark a 'X' on the ballot paper next to your choice. You may also use your own pen.

Do not make any other marks on the paper.

Your vote is secret.

Booths and pens are sanitised at least once every half hour.

Fold your ballot paper to make sure your choice is covered, and drop it into the ballot box.

Throw away the disposable gloves at the bins provided before you leave.
